Having a blast playing this game on the mac just as much as the the original on the iPad. Recommend it for any strategy/Tower Defence entusiast. It is the same as the one on the iPad but the level select screen has been improved its a nice touch.

This game is the hookiest (defending???) game ever!!!! It is very nice, and I love the heroes in the game!!!! :)

Am so happy to see this pop up on the App Store this morning. At long last the full Mac OS X version. Now I dont have to play it in a crappy flash window off some web site loaded with adds for other games. Full HD resolution on my iMac,woot! This is my favorite tower defense type game from the iPhone/iPad. I hope that Forntiers is on its way soon too! Coolness!

This’s my first Mac game. It’s great, although it does not support Retina display, but Ill give it a five-star rating, because it is a classic, hope as soon as possible to fit Retina display.

This is ONE of the best tower defense games in my opinion. The game is simple, easy to play BUT also very challenging when it wants too. This new HD port to iMACs is just amazing. Love the Quality of the game and like always FUNNY like Hell!!! I Love even more the NO IAP(In App Purchases). It makes the games so much better. THIS GAME IS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! Thanks Ironhide Games for making this port. Its just amazing!!!

I absolutely love this game! I have it on all of my devices! And finally, it’s on my Macbook. The graphics look beautiful. And it runs so smoothly too! No lag. I love it!

Overall, this game is excellent and very fun to play! The biggest downside I can note is the lack of Retina graphics. If you have a Retina MacBook Pro you will notice some grainy quality that isn’t quite what you would expect to see for $10. That aside, the game lives up to its iPad and iPhone namesake, and adds some great mouse-optimized tweaks to make playing it on your Mac awesome! Still five stars because of the great game, and looking forward to it being updated with Retina graphics!

With all the different towers and maps, This game has a high replay value, which is sometimes a problem with tower defense games. There are a few bugs, notably the Scrat’s Acorn achievement not recording, which I suspect is also responsible for the Campaign Achievement not recording, but these don’t affect the actual gameplay. It can get a little annoying in the later stages, when you spend 10-15 minutes on a stage only to have the final boss walk out of your screen with just a smidgen of life left, making you have to re-think your strategy and having to play everything again, trying to set things up to destroy that last little bit of life, but overall, it is definitely worth the price, and I am looking forward to the next instalment.

Terrific Tower Defense game. Plenty of replay and play value. The only problem is that it takes quite a while to load (both the game and each “scenario”).

One of the best tower defense game for the Mac. Love that there’s no IA purchases. Tons of replay value and challenging as well. Highly recommended. Update 1.18 Updated but did not receive the Hero Thor...

This game is addicting…..to say the least , If your thinking of buying this game just go ahead you’ll love it !!!!! Definitely the most challenging game that I have purchased !!!

Really, just tired of all other games. And this one keeps me happy.

The Kingdom Rush franchise is wonderful. Well-designed, addictive, actually challenging, a cute blend of high-fantasy, horror, and science-fantasy imagery… nothing not to like, if you like tower games. However. This version barely runs on a Macbook Air running the latest OSX with no other programs open. Even if I turn down the graphics resolution all the way and the music off, it crawls along. This is not a finalized game, but a bad beta. I’m disappointed in Ironhide for releasing it.

Game is very fun, but looks terrible for the retina display!

Before this update this game was performing excellent, even though I had placed it in a different folder than the standard ‘applications’. After this update whenever I want to play the added stages, I can only do that when the game is placed in the original application folder. I can play all other stages just fine, just not the new added ones. I like to keep apps in a location I choose, and this is annoying. Again: new stages are playable, but only if I keep the game in its original location, which I don’t want. The game itself is excellent and fun, but this is something I hope will get ‘fixed’.

This is an excellent game, hours of fun and a wide variety of challenging levels! There is a bug though (which I have seen has been fixed on other sites). Even when you finish all levels of the game in all three challenge modes: campaign, heroic and iron, you still don’t earn those three achievement badges. But other than that, an awesome and fun game!
